Eight 1990s trivia questions on music, TV, movies, fashion, and tech. Test how much of the decade you actually remember.

Trivia

About this quiz

The 1990s sit in a strange spot — recent enough that millennials remember it from the inside, distant enough that Gen Z encounters it as aesthetic. This trivia mixes music, TV, movies, fashion, and tech from across the decade. Some answers are obvious if you lived through it, others are 'oh god I'd forgotten that' moments. Score above 80% and you're allowed to call yourself a child of the decade.

What you'll discover

    Lived It, Loved It

You remember the 90s in detail — not in nostalgic blur, but in actual lived-through recall. You can still hum sitcom theme songs, you remember when the WB was a thing, and you owned at least one item of clothing that should never have existed.

    Mostly There

You were around for some of the decade or you've absorbed enough of it through cultural osmosis to know the headlines. The TV references mostly land, the music does mostly. You'd survive a 90s-themed party without exposing yourself as too young or too forgetful.

  • 03

    Curious Newcomer

Either you weren't there or you've successfully repressed most of it. The decade catches you out — too analog, too pre-internet, too earnestly weird in places that don't translate. That's fine; the 90s requires some cultural archaeology to recover. Watch a Friends marathon, listen to a Spice Girls album back-to-back, then try this quiz again.
